Dohar vs Comforter vs AC Blanket: Which Do You Need?
By Hina Collection Team1 min read
These three look similar but are made for different weather. Choosing the right one keeps you comfortable without overheating.

Dohar
A dohar is a lightweight, quilted cotton cover, usually a single layer or two thin layers. It is best for summer nights and for air-conditioned rooms where you want a light layer.
AC blanket
An AC blanket is a thin, soft blanket made to be used in air-conditioned rooms. It adds a little warmth without the weight of a winter blanket.
Comforter
A comforter is filled and thicker. It is meant for colder weather, or for use in a cool room. Check the GSM (grams per square metre) on the product page: a higher GSM means a warmer, heavier product.
Quick comparison
- Hot weather, no AC: dohar.
- Air-conditioned room: AC blanket or a lightweight dohar.
- Cold weather: comforter.
- Year-round use: a reversible comforter or dohar that you can layer.
